Under the auspices of Lebanon's Economy Minister, the Iranian Embassy in Lebanon kicked off the first of its kind exhibition entitled "Made in Iran". A number of Lebanese and foreign lawmakers, people and tourists attended the opening of the exhibition which showcased diverse Iranian-made products ranging from foodstuff and handicrafts to medical equipment and motor vehicles. Iran's ambassador to Lebanon explained that this event is a reflection of the intentions of both Tehran and Beirut to take commercial and trade relations to a much more significant level. The exhibition witnessed the representation of over 80 Iranian businesses displaying class-A Iranian products. The products varied from decades-old Persian heritage crafts, such as carpeting and embroidered portraits, to technological and bio-medical breakthroughs. With what it had to offer the exhibition has been an attraction for both Lebanese nationals and tourists in Lebanon who were surprised to see products which, according to one tourist are "Pretty Impressive stuff!" In addition to its economic values the exhibition has definitely been a chance for both Iranians and Lebanese to know more about each other's cultures. Both Lebanese and Iranian officials have stressed that this exhibition, which will run till the 17th of this month, is a step in strengthening bilateral economic ties between the two countries.
